Get Your Hilux or Mini Cooper S Stopping Like New — Rotor Replacement with DBA
> Disc brake rotors, mate, are absolutely vital for good stopping power. They're what your brake pads squeeze against to slow you down. Over time, especially with heavy off-roading in the Hilux or constant city driving in the Mini, these rotors can wear out, warp, or even crack. Not ideal!
Spotting the Trouble Signs
• That brake pedal doing the Macarena (pulsating or vibrating).
• Brakes squealing like a stuck pig or grinding like dusty metal tracks.
• Rotors looking like they've been through the wars (scoring, cracks, rust).
• Taking longer to pull up at the lights.
• Brake pads wearing unevenly – suss.
Will it pass WOF?
Worn rotors? Chances are you'll be slapped with a WOF failure. They need to be above the minimum thickness and free from major damage to pass the test.

🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
Before you get cracking, a few things to keep in mind to get the job done right, the first time:
• Safety First, Mates! Never, ever get under a car supported only by a jack. Use proper axle stands – this is a no-brainer. And chuck on some Safety Glasses to keep the brake dust out of your peepers.
• Keep it Clean: Brakes create a heck of a lot of nasty brake dust. Grab a can of Brake Cleaner to blast that stuff away before you start pulling things apart. Makes life easier, and it's better for your lungs.
• Protect Your Hands: Brake cleaner and old brake parts can be rough on the skin. A decent set of Nitrile Gloves will keep your hands clean and protected.
• Caliper Grease: When you're reassembling the brakes, make sure to use a dab of anti-seize caliper grease on the caliper bolts and any contact points. This stops things seizing up later on.

Fitment Notes
Make sure the new rotors fit your specific Hilux, Tacoma, Surf or Mini Cooper S model and year. Check the size, thickness, and bolt pattern – getting it wrong is a pain.
