Description

Swapping Out Your Disc Brake Rotors — DBA Style
> Your Renault Megane or Fluence's brake rotors are vital. City driving and those constant red lights grind them down over time. If they're warped or rooted, your braking goes to custard – and that's not safe, mate.

What Clued You In?
• Brakes sound like a flock of seagulls arguing?
• Steering wheel shakin' like Elvis?
• Feels like you're needin' a whole rugby field to stop?
• Rotors look like they've been attacked with a grinder?
• Brake pads wearin' unevenly?

WOF Worthy?
Buggered brake rotors are a dead cert for failin' a WOF here in NZ. They gotta be thick enough and free from cracks to pass the test.

🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
Alright, before you get stuck in, let's talk safety and what else you might need. Brakes create a heck of a mess, so:
• Safety First, Mates! Never, ever get under a car that's only held up by a jack. Use proper jack stands – your life's worth it!
• Keep it Clean: Brake dust is nasty stuff. Grab a can of Brake Cleaner to blast it all away. Makes the job cleaner and the brakes work better. Plus, give those new rotors a good spray down before you fit them.
• Glove Up: Protect your mitts with some heavy-duty Nitrile Gloves. Keeps the grease and grime off, and saves your skin from harsh chemicals.
• Lube it Right: A wee dab of anti-seize Caliper Grease on the caliper bolts helps stop them seizing up next time.
