Description

Disc Brake Rotor Replacement — With DBA
> Your Land Rover Range Rover's disc brake rotors are super important. They wear down over time from all that heat and friction, meaning your braking won't be as good and could get dicey, especially in a big rig like the Range Rover. Best to get this sorted before your WOF check, eh?
Symptoms That Led You Here
• Squealing like a pig or grinding noises when you hit the brakes
• Feeling a wobble or shake in the brake pedal
• Taking longer to stop than you reckon you should
• Seeing grooves, cracks, or rust on the rotor itself
• Brake pads wearing unevenly
Will it pass WOF?
Worn or rooted disc brake rotors are a surefire way to fail your WOF here in New Zealand. Check they're thick enough and not cracked or too far gone to pass the test.

🛠️ Bob's "Get It Done Right" Companion Checklist
• Safety First, Mates! Never, ever get under a car that's only held up by a jack. Use proper stands, or you might end up properly gutted.
• Brake Cleaner: Grab a can of Brake Cleaner. Blast away all that nasty carbon dust. Keeps things clean and working sweet as.
• Anti-Seize Caliper Grease: A little dab of anti-seize on the caliper bolts never hurt anyone. Makes life easier next time you're in there.
• Hand Protection: Don't be a goose! Wear some Nitrile Gloves to keep your hands clean. Brake dust isn't exactly a cafe lunch.
• Eye Protection: Flying grit is no fun. Pop on some safety glasses to shield your peepers.

Fitment Notes
• Make sure the new rotors fit your Range Rover model and year (2002-2012).
• Always do both rotors at the same time (both front or both rear) so the braking is even.
• Think about doing the brake pads too, so everything works perfectly and the new rotors don't wear out too fast.
Bob's the word!

🧰 What Else You'll Need:
• Safety First: Never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always secure it on heavy-duty safety jack stands.
• Brake Dust Protection: Keep a pack of Nitrile Gloves handy to protect your hands from grease and dust.
• Clean and Prep: Use Brake Cleaner to clean the anti-corrosion shipping oil off the new rotors before mounting the calipers.
• Lubrication: Apply caliper grease to caliper slide pins and pad contact points to prevent squealing.
